Ansel Aumont is a Werewolf as well as the former alpha of the North East Atlantic Pack and the former lover of Esther Mikaelson. It is very likely that his other family was killed by Mikael Agnarsson when his affair with Esther Mikaelson was discovered. His only known surviving child, Niklaus Mikaelson, was born of this affair and was raised by his stepfather Mikael. Later on, he becomes the father of Lily Anseldottir.
Through his son, Ansel is the father-in-law of Camille O'Connell-Mikaelson. He's also the biological grandfather of Hope Mikaelson and Grace O'Connell-Mikaelson.
He is also the adoptive grandfather of Marcellus Mikaelson, which makes him the adoptive great grandfather of Nikolaus Mikaelson and Davina Claire-Mikaelson and the adoptive great-great grandfather of Vivienne Claire-Mikaelson.
